Putz
It's a bullet point day.
- Voted in the DC Primaries today.
- Started posting items for sale on Craigs List. After traveling all summer with just a Tupperware bin and some books, I am overwhelmed by my things. I had special plans when I bought them, but idea beat execution. So hardly-used-space-stealers stare at me daily, pissed they are wasting their material existence gathering cat fur. Anyone need some free weights - how about book binding supplies? Snowshoes? Body glitter?
- Kept obsessing about revamped business models for used book stores. A local used book store said they can't compete with the Amazon sellers, too cheap. They also can't accept new books because their stock levels are too high. Hmmm. If they don't get new books, they don't stay current and less customers visit=less sales. What about a consignment model? Or at least discount pricing based on time in store (except for rare/classic books of course). What about sponsoring an altered books class and get rid of the 70's yellow fondue cookbook?
- Picked up my camera from the shop. The Embassy Camera guys type with one finger, but but I appreciate the no-nonsense.
- Tried on these goofy shoes just because. Made Larry of Comfort One laugh. At me, not the shoes.
- Got carry out from the Diner - side of macaroni and cheese and a salad
- Rented my first Six Feet Under episode(s).

Lisa, I'd love to hear what you think of Six Feet Under, my favorite TV show. Watch for the ol' allusion v reality theme. Bye the way, I started your Lost DVD's yesterday, and I am hooked. It's my favorite book--Lord of the Flies. Nice to see Ralph, Jack, Simon and Piggy again, complete with Beastie.

So far, I love it (Six feet Under). It haunts me during the day. It's addicting, like Lost - but for a totally different reason.
I haven't read Lord of the Flies in a while - how do the characters match up.
Jack
Locke
Hugo (piggy?)
