My First Role

Yesterday was the day of the shoot. We dropped off the taxidermy with James, the hunter, then filled the car with shiny rods, camera, lenses, and lights. The crew of four and cast of one met at the Super 8 motel on Sierra Highway. After we replaced the bedspreads and a painting over the headboard, the set was complete. My assorted jobs included monitoring the shots with a stopwatch, coordinating food and laying on the bed as "the deer lady"



I'm amazed - no blown fuses, no wasted film, and we only ran a bit over time. And some funny. Lotsa funny. We won't get to see the final edited film until next semester, but stay tuned!
