"Proposed amendment to Virginia Constitution would define marriage as a contract between one man and one woman. It would also ban the future creation or recognition of "another union, partnership, or other legal status to which is assigned the rights, benefits, obligations, qualities or effects of marriage."
Across multiple states voters are approving bans on same sex marriage. Not only bans on "marriage" but on any type of union, partnership or other legal recognition.
I must say that I am incredibly sad and sickened by this. Really sad. I don't know what to do except refuse to marry until this changes. Because it doesn't symbolize what I think it should.
