The Whip

It's been one of those crazy busy weeks. I haven't really experienced this since quitting work back in May. It's not bad, not bad at all. Sure, I am quickly realizing the massive volume of the unknown, but my curiousity is a happy clam.

I had lunch with my old boss today - wonderful amazing woman. She asked me what specifically changed over the summer. I said I went from external to internal motivators - and it was a significant adjustment. For that last 10+ years, I have been responding. To emails, to deadlines, in meetings - I didn't really have time to direct or chose (I am generalizing a wee bit here for dramatic purpose)

It took a summer of floating to recognize the difference. Sure, I need a few classes - and a tiny bit of structure - but no one is going to care if I don't do the lesson on macro photography. I am not getting a degree and my classes were fairly cheap.

I think maybe - see the little stick man dancing, dancin' and spinnin' - this could work.
